Humble Robotics Raises $51 Million for Cabless Autonomous Trucks

Nov 5, 2026
Humble Robotics raised $51 million to develop electric autonomous trucks without driver cabs. Customer pilots are planned for early 2027, followed by commercial operations later that year.

Humble Robotics raised $51 million in a round led by Obvious Ventures, Business Insider reports. Existing investors Eclipse and Energy Impact Partners also participated, bringing the San Francisco startup's total funding to $75 million.

Humble Robotics is developing the Humble Hauler, an electric autonomous truck designed without a driver cab. The vehicle will carry 40 foot shipping containers and serve regional routes of less than 250 miles between ports, warehouses, and distribution centers.

Customer pilots will begin in the first quarter of 2027 using conventional trucks to collect route data. Humble Robotics plans to simulate and test those routes before deploying its own vehicles, with commercial operations planned for the third quarter of 2027.

The company holds a California permit to test vehicles with a safety driver. It will need additional regulatory approval before testing without a driver or starting commercial service in the state.
