Huawei Unveils AI-Centric Network Solution at MWC 2025
Huawei has launched its AI-Centric Network solution at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2025 in Barcelona, announced in a press release. Yang Chaobin, Huawei's Director of the Board and CEO of the ICT Business Group, introduced the solution, which aims to help carriers seize opportunities presented by the rise of AI.
The AI-Centric Network solution is designed to address the evolving needs of network infrastructure, focusing on enhancing bandwidth, latency, coverage, and operations and maintenance (O&M). Yang highlighted that the solution will enable all-domain connectivity, allowing carriers to optimize resource orchestration for routing and bandwidth, thus providing intelligent applications with universal network access and SLA assurance.
Huawei's approach includes a shift towards application-oriented O&M, supported by its Telecom Foundation Model, which facilitates predictive and proactive operations. This shift is expected to enhance network efficiency and user experience significantly. Additionally, the solution aims to support enhanced AI-to-X services, enabling ubiquitous connectivity for public services like education and healthcare.
Yang emphasized the potential for carriers to explore new business models that monetize experience rather than just traffic, opening up new revenue streams. The AI-Centric Network solution is part of Huawei's broader strategy to collaborate with carriers and partners globally to accelerate the transition towards an intelligent world.
