Global Spatial Technology Solutions (GSTS) has been awarded a contract by Canada's Department of National Defence to test its AI platform for predictive maintenance of military systems.

Global Spatial Technology Solutions (GSTS) has been awarded a contract by the Government of Canada's Department of National Defence under the Innovation for Defence Excellence and Security (IDEaS) program to operationally test its advanced AI platform, OCIANA® Predictive Maintenance (OPM). This was announced in a press release.

OCIANA® is GSTS's maritime AI platform that processes real-time data from vessels, environmental conditions, and operations to provide predictive insights. The OPM solution aims to enhance the prediction of equipment and system failures, facilitating proactive maintenance planning. This advancement is expected to reduce unexpected downtime, improve equipment reliability, and lower lifecycle costs, thereby increasing the operational readiness of military assets.

The contract marks a significant step in moving OPM from laboratory testing to real-world application, with the goal of demonstrating its effectiveness in reducing unplanned downtime and associated costs. The platform's capabilities are designed for both defense and commercial fleet operators, with potential applications across naval, coast guard, and merchant fleets.
