Fireblocks Launches Agentic Payments Suite and Joins x402 Foundation
Fireblocks announced in a press release the launch of its Agentic Payments Suite, a new infrastructure designed to enable agent-initiated payments using any stablecoin on any blockchain. The suite supports payment service providers and fintech companies by offering built-in compliance, spend governance, and production scale capabilities.
The Agentic Payments Suite includes two main components. The Agentic Payments Gateway allows merchants to accept stablecoin payments similar to card or bank transfer methods, without requiring blockchain expertise. The Agentic Wallets component provides programmable wallet infrastructure that enables users to delegate payment authority to AI agents within defined limits, with full audit trails and compliance features.
Fireblocks has also joined the x402 Foundation, a Linux Foundation-hosted body governing the x402 protocol. The company contributes a security extension to the protocol that adds request integrity and spend governance, ensuring agentic transactions meet regulatory and operational standards.
The suite operates across both sides of agent-initiated transactions and supports any stablecoin or emerging agentic payment standard. It also integrates off-ramp, conversion, and reconciliation processes into a single platform, producing structured settlement data suitable for auditors and regulators.
