Anthropic Introduces AI Agents for Financial Services Workflows
Anthropic announced in a press release the release of ten ready to run AI agent templates for financial services tasks such as building pitchbooks, screening KYC files, and closing the books at month end. The agents are available as plugins in Claude Cowork and Claude Code, or as cookbooks for Claude Managed Agents.
The new agents include tools for research, client coverage, finance, and operations. Examples include a pitch builder for creating client materials, a valuation reviewer for checking methodologies, and a month end closer for preparing journal entries and close reports. Each agent template combines domain knowledge, governed data connectors, and subagents for specialized subtasks.
Claude now works across Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook through new add-ins for Microsoft 365. These allow users to carry context between applications, so work started in one program can continue in another without repeating instructions.
The company also expanded its partner ecosystem with new connectors and an MCP app. Partners include Dun & Bradstreet, Fiscal AI, Financial Modeling Prep, Guidepoint, IBISWorld, SS&C IntraLinks, Third Bridge, and Verisk. Moody’s introduced a new MCP app that brings its proprietary credit ratings and company data into the Claude environment.
The agents are available immediately through Anthropic’s financial services marketplace. The company recently established a joint venture with firms including Blackstone and Goldman Sachs to expand deployment of its AI software across the financial industry.
