Anthropic Nears $1.5 Billion AI Venture With Wall Street Partners
Anthropic is close to completing a $1.5 billion joint venture with Blackstone, Goldman Sachs, Hellman & Friedman, and other financial firms according to the Wall Street Journal. The new entity will focus on selling artificial intelligence tools and consulting services to companies backed by private equity investors.
Anthropic, Blackstone, and Hellman & Friedman are expected to each invest around $300 million. Goldman Sachs is contributing approximately $150 million, while other investors, including General Atlantic, will provide the remaining funds. The total capital commitment is projected to reach about $1.5 billion.
The venture will operate as a consulting arm that helps businesses integrate AI into their operations while offering Anthropic’s AI tools. An official announcement could come as early as Monday, according to the report.
