Circle Introduces Agent Stack for Autonomous AI Transactions
Circle Internet Group announced in a press release the launch of Circle Agent Stack, a new infrastructure designed to support the emerging agentic economy. The suite enables AI agents to hold assets, discover services, and transact programmatically using USDC across supported blockchains.
The initial release includes several products. Circle CLI provides a command interface for developers and AI agents to build on Circle’s platform with a focus on wallets, payments, and policy management. Nanopayments powered by Circle Gateway enables gas-free USDC transfers as small as one millionth of a dollar, allowing high-frequency machine-to-machine transactions.
Agent Wallets are permissionless wallets that allow agents to hold and manage funds autonomously within predefined controls. The Agent Marketplace offers a directory of agentic services that both humans and AI agents can browse and integrate with. These components together extend Circle’s infrastructure to support autonomous participation in digital commerce.
According to Circle CEO Jeremy Allaire, the company views this launch as a step toward building financial systems where AI agents can act as direct participants. The products are available now at agents.circle.com.
