MoonPay Acquires Dawn Labs and Launches AI Trading Tool Dawn CLI

MoonPay has acquired Dawn Labs and introduced Dawn CLI, an AI tool that allows users to create and execute trading strategies from natural language input. The acquisition brings Dawn Labs founder Neeraj Prasad to MoonPay as Chief Engineer of MoonPay Labs.

MoonPay has acquired Dawn Labs and introduced Dawn CLI, an AI tool for autonomous trading, announced in a press release. Dawn Labs, founded in 2025 by Neeraj Prasad, focuses on artificial intelligence and financial markets. Following the acquisition, Prasad will join MoonPay as Chief Engineer of MoonPay Labs.

Dawn CLI enables users to describe trading strategies in plain English, which the system then converts into executable code. It conducts automated research, runs simulations, and executes trades on supported platforms. The platform is designed to simplify the creation and management of trading strategies that traditionally required expertise in research, software development, and portfolio management.

The acquisition aligns with MoonPay's ongoing expansion into AI based financial infrastructure. The company has recently introduced tools such as MoonPay CLI, MoonPay Agents for secure hardware signing, and the MoonAgents Card, a virtual Mastercard debit card for spending stablecoins online. Dawn CLI extends this infrastructure by allowing AI agents to autonomously manage the entire trading process from strategy formulation to execution.
