Prime Intellect Acquires Moondream

Prime Intellect acquired Moondream and will integrate its Photon inference engine into its platform. Moondream's founders will join Prime Intellect to lead inference and multimodal model work.

Prime Intellect announced its acquisition of Moondream. Moondream founders Vik Korrapati and Jay Allen will join Prime Intellect to lead inference and expand its work on multimodal models, vision and computer use.

Prime Intellect is integrating Moondream's Photon inference engine and custom GPU kernel work into its platform. Moondream 3.1 is now available through Prime Inference using Photon.

Moondream Cloud customers will receive credits for Prime Intellect's training and inference services. Prime Intellect will retain the Moondream brand for its small multimodal models.
