WSPN Introduces W Agent for Stablecoin Payments Between AI Agents and Merchants
WSPN announced in a press release the launch of W Agent, a new skill designed to enable autonomous AI agents to discover merchants, place orders, and settle payments in stablecoins. The system operates on top of WSPN's W Checkout stack and serves as a payment layer for agentic commerce, connecting buyer-side agents with merchants through a unified interface.
W Agent manages both payment and acquiring functions across multiple blockchains while maintaining enterprise-grade human approval controls. The platform orchestrates orders, accounting, and receipts without taking custody of funds. Settlement occurs on-chain through W Checkout, providing transparency and a simple trust model.
The solution supports multi-chain stablecoin settlement and allows configurable spending limits per transaction or per day. WSPN stated that W Agent is already available and under testing for simultaneous fiat and stablecoin payment support, with a major update planned in the near future.
