Crossmint Secures $23.6M to Simplify Blockchain for Businesses and AI Agents
Crossmint has raised $23.6 million in a funding round led by Ribbit Capital, with participation from Franklin Templeton, Nyca, First Round, and Lightspeed Faction, announced in a press release. The funding aims to simplify blockchain adoption for businesses and AI agents by providing a comprehensive platform that eliminates the need for blockchain engineers and cryptocurrency holdings.
Crossmint's platform supports over 40,000 companies, including global brands like Adidas and Red Bull, by offering blockchain solutions such as wallets, tokenization, and payments. The platform is designed to mimic traditional web experiences, removing common blockchain complexities like gas fees.
Additionally, Crossmint is developing a framework for AI agent-driven commerce, providing essential tools for AI agents to securely manage funds and conduct transactions. The company also maintains the GOAT SDK, a popular open-source library for AI agents interacting with blockchain protocols, which has seen significant adoption with 150,000 downloads in the past two months.
