Ricursive Intelligence Raises $300 Million Series A for AI-Driven Chip Design
Ricursive Intelligence has raised $300 million in a Series A funding round led by Lightspeed Venture Partners at a $4 billion valuation, announced in a press release. The round follows Ricursive's public launch less than two months earlier and includes participation from DST Global, NVentures, Felicis Ventures, 49 Palms Ventures, Radical AI, and Sequoia Capital.
Founded by Dr. Anna Goldie and Dr. Azalia Mirhoseini, Ricursive Intelligence is developing a platform that integrates AI models with semiconductor design to address the industry's slow and resource-intensive chip development process. The company plans to use the new funding to expand its research and engineering teams and increase compute infrastructure capacity.
Ricursive’s founders previously led work on AlphaChip, an AI-driven chip design system used across multiple generations of TPU and adopted by external semiconductor companies. The startup has already drawn top engineers from organizations such as Google DeepMind, Anthropic, Apple, and Cadence, positioning it as a key player in the intersection of AI and hardware design.
