MITO AI has raised $4.5 million in pre-seed funding led by Lightspeed Venture Partners, with participation from Kibo Ventures, Kfund, Sequoia Capital, and Andreessen Horowitz (a16z) scouts, announced in a press release.
The Madrid- and San Francisco-based company has launched its AI-native video creation platform designed for filmmakers, designers, and creative teams. The platform integrates video, image, and audio AI models with professional editing tools in a browser-based collaborative workspace.
Users can ideate, storyboard, and produce cinematic content supported by an AI copilot that assists with tasks such as scripting, camera angles, and visual effects. MITO AI describes the environment as a real-time multiplayer workspace for creative production.
The company is also developing an AI-powered audiovisual studio and a curated marketplace for generative creators, aiming to expand access to professional storytelling tools for a wider range of users.
