Clarivate Expands Academic AI Platform with Agentic AI
Clarivate has announced the expansion of its Academic AI Platform with the introduction of Agentic AI, aimed at enhancing research and learning workflows. Announced in a press release, the new AI Agents are designed to support academic workflows by integrating reasoning, planning, and action capabilities to achieve specific goals.
The platform will feature AI Agents that go beyond generative AI by facilitating complex tasks across multiple data sources. These agents will be available starting April 2025, with the first series focusing on literature review and research intelligence. Additionally, Clarivate is developing an Agent Builder, a low-code/no-code environment that allows institutions to create and customize their own AI tools.
Clarivate is also launching a Development Partner Program to encourage collaboration among academic libraries in refining AI-driven solutions. This initiative aims to foster a community-driven approach to AI development, allowing institutions to share and build on each other's AI solutions.
