ChainIT Releases Provable Authority White Paper for AI Agent Controls

ChainIT announced in a press release the release of Provable Authority, a technical white paper focused on checking authority before money, data, assets, or contractual rights move.

The paper cites a Deloitte Center for Financial Services projection that generative AI enabled fraud losses in the United States could reach $40 billion by 2027, up from $12.3 billion in 2023.

Provable Authority describes a framework for determining whether an employee, owner, organization, workflow, or autonomous AI agent is authorized to perform one exact action at a specific time. It addresses cases such as employee wires, owner approvals, vendor payments, treasury operations, and instructions carried out by AI agents.

The white paper introduces the ChainIT Authority Protocol and its Agent Subject Profile. The framework connects verified identity, organizational authority, delegated scope, sourced evidence, deterministic controls before execution, transaction capacity, and exact instruction approval.

ChainIT said the core technical pillars include verified authority chains, deterministic controls before execution, authorization tied to a transaction, agent containment, and immutable evidence.
