GoDaddy and Partners Test Chain of Trust for AI Agent Purchases
GoDaddy, Infoblox, Google and Cloudflare demonstrated a Chain of Trust architecture for transactions between AI agents on independent platforms, the companies said in a press release. The architecture was developed with Singapore's Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) and uses existing internet standards to verify agent identities, permissions and transaction records.
The GovWare 2026 demonstration simulated an agent purchasing a flight from Madrid to Singapore. The buyer agent ran on Amazon Web Services, the seller used Cloudflare Workers, and the mandate authority and verifier ran on Google. A person approved the purchase with a passkey, while signed AP2 mandates specified the seller, purchase type and spending limit.
The system used DNS and Agent Resources Discovery to find the seller, checked its identity and Trust Index score, and completed the simulated checkout through the Universal Commerce Protocol and Stripe. It also blocked an imitation seller and forged credentials before either could complete a transaction. Each step was recorded in an append only log.
