Buzz Black Joins AXOM Partners to Enhance AI and Cybersecurity Advisory
AXOM Partners has announced that Buzz Black has joined the firm as a Partner, according to a press release. Buzz brings over a decade of experience in software-focused investment banking, having advised on more than $35 billion in transaction volume across enterprise software, cybersecurity, AI, and broader technology sectors.
Before joining AXOM, Buzz held senior advisory roles at Morgan Stanley, Evercore, and BofA Securities. His notable advisory work includes the $8.4 billion acquisition of Smartsheet by Blackstone and Vista Equity Partners, and KKR's $4.8 billion acquisition of Instructure.
Buzz will be based in and lead AXOM's San Francisco office, working alongside Alan Bressers. The office is expanding, with recent additions like Thomas Kim as Vice President. AXOM Partners, since its launch in September 2023, has advised on several AI-related transactions, including Rockset's sale to OpenAI and OctoAI's sale to NVIDIA.
