Basware Launches AI Agent Training Program for Finance Professionals
Basware announced in a press release the launch of its new AI Certified program, a training initiative designed to help accounts payable (AP) professionals work effectively alongside AI agents. The program aims to prepare finance teams for increasing automation within the field while maintaining human oversight and decision-making.
The certification course, available globally from May 11 through the Basware Academy, provides a structured learning path covering AI fundamentals, its application in current workflows, and future developments. It is tailored for AP clerks, invoice controllers, and finance team leaders who use Basware’s Invoice Lifecycle Management platform.
Participants will learn to identify which tasks are automated versus human-controlled, manage AI-assisted invoice processes, and build confidence in AI-driven operations. The training follows a human-in-the-loop approach, emphasizing collaboration between people and digital agents embedded in Basware’s platform.
According to Basware, the initiative supports finance professionals in adapting to AI integration by equipping them with practical skills to manage and optimize digital teammates rather than replace human roles.
