American Diabetes Association Invests in UpDoc for AI Chronic Care Platform
American Diabetes Association has made a strategic investment in UpDoc, a clinical AI company developing physician-grade agentic AI for chronic disease management. The investment was announced in a press release and comes through the ADA’s Innovation Fund, which supports technologies that improve outcomes for people living with diabetes and related conditions.
UpDoc’s platform integrates automated AI agents with clinician oversight to deliver continuous care for patients between scheduled appointments. The system aims to address clinician shortages and improve patient engagement for those managing chronic diseases such as diabetes and obesity.
The ADA said the investment will accelerate UpDoc’s efforts to scale its clinical AI tools and expand their reach. Alongside capital support, the organization will provide clinical and research expertise to guide product development and adoption.
According to the ADA, this collaboration reflects its goal of advancing practical innovations that strengthen the connection between patients and healthcare providers while expanding access to evidence-based care.
