Aidoc Introduces BRIDGE Framework for Clinical AI Deployment
Aidoc has announced the release of BRIDGE, a new open-source framework designed to facilitate the safe and scalable deployment of AI in healthcare settings, announced in a press release. Developed in collaboration with NVIDIA, BRIDGE aims to provide a structured approach for healthcare organizations to integrate AI solutions effectively.
The framework, which stands for Blueprint for Resilient Integration and Deployment of Guided Excellence, was created with input from 17 leading organizations, including the University of Washington and University Hospitals. It outlines the technical, regulatory, operational, and trust-building criteria necessary for AI solutions to be considered healthcare-ready.
BRIDGE focuses on several core areas, such as distinguishing between models and full solutions, establishing minimum viable production environment requirements, and implementing trust-building mechanisms. It also provides scalability guidelines to ensure interoperability and long-term performance monitoring.
This initiative seeks to unify the fragmented landscape of AI deployment in healthcare by offering a consensus-driven foundation for evaluating and integrating AI solutions. BRIDGE is publicly available and can be downloaded for free, providing a valuable resource for healthcare systems looking to advance their AI capabilities responsibly.
