Voyager and Palantir Collaborate on AI Solutions for Space Domain Awareness

Voyager Technologies and Palantir Technologies are partnering to develop AI-powered solutions for enhanced Space Domain Awareness, focusing on space-based object detection and tracking.

Voyager Technologies is expanding its partnership with Palantir Technologies to develop AI-powered solutions aimed at enhancing Space Domain Awareness (SDA), announced in a press release. This collaboration focuses on creating systems capable of detecting, identifying, classifying, and tracking space-based objects to mitigate potential collisions and threats.

The SDA system will utilize Voyager's VPX signal processing electronics and Palantir's AI and machine learning engines to process real-time radio frequency streams and imagery. The goal is to transition the system from Technology Readiness Level 4 (TRL4) to TRL8 by 2026, enabling it to function as a hosted payload.

Palantir's AI capabilities will enhance Voyager's defense and national security solutions, providing in situ signals processing for optical communication systems. This partnership underscores the growing importance of AI in maintaining national security in increasingly contested space environments.
