Vast.AI Opens New Office in San Francisco to Tap AI Talent
Vast.AI has announced its strategic expansion to San Francisco, opening a new 3,400 sq ft office in the SOMA district, announced in a press release. This move aims to tap into the Bay Area's elite talent pool as the company focuses on developing a new, unannounced product and scaling its GPU rental platform.
The new office, located at 100 First Street, Suite 2250, places Vast.AI in a prime location across from Salesforce Tower. The company plans to grow its Bay Area team to 12 engineers, complementing its 21-person headquarters in Los Angeles. COO Travis Cannell emphasized the importance of San Francisco's vibrant tech ecosystem, which includes meetups and hackathons, in attracting specialized engineering talent.
Vast.AI, founded in 2018, is known for its cloud GPU platform that offers cost-effective AI compute solutions. The expansion to San Francisco marks a significant milestone in the company's growth trajectory, positioning it at the heart of the nation's leading AI talent.
