VAST Data in Talks for $30 Billion Valuation with CapitalG and NVIDIA

VAST Data is currently in discussions with CapitalG, Alphabet's venture arm, and existing investor NVIDIA to secure a new funding round. This round could value the AI storage platform at up to $30 billion.
The New York-based company, which was last valued at $9.1 billion in 2023, is aiming to close the funding round in the coming weeks. VAST Data specializes in developing storage technology designed to enhance efficiency in AI data centers, a sector gaining increased attention as the demand for AI infrastructure grows.
To date, VAST Data has raised $380 million and is reportedly free cash flow positive. The company achieved $200 million in annual recurring revenue by January 2025, with projections to reach $600 million in the following year. This potential funding round could position VAST Data as one of the most valuable tech companies in the AI infrastructure space.
