Infosys Report Highlights Gaps in Responsible AI Implementation

August 16, 2025
Infosys reveals that while 86% of enterprises anticipate increased risks from agentic AI, only 2% meet responsible AI standards, exposing them to reputational and financial risks.

Infosys has unveiled a report highlighting significant gaps in responsible AI implementation among enterprises, announced in a press release. The report, titled 'Responsible Enterprise AI in the Agentic Era,' surveyed over 1,500 business executives and found that while 86% of executives anticipate heightened risks with the rise of agentic AI, only 2% of companies meet the responsible AI gold standards.

The findings indicate that 95% of enterprises have faced AI-related incidents, with 39% of these incidents causing severe damage. Despite 78% of companies viewing responsible AI as a growth driver, only a small fraction have adequate controls to mitigate reputational and financial risks.

Infosys recommends that companies learn from high-maturity responsible AI organizations, blend product agility with platform governance, and establish a proactive responsible AI office to monitor risks and set policies. The report emphasizes the need for enterprises to shift from reactive compliance to proactive strategic advantage in AI implementation.
