Profound Secures $35M Series B to Enhance AI Marketing Platform
Profound has raised $35 million in a Series B funding round led by Sequoia Capital, announced in a press release. This funding round also saw participation from Kleiner Perkins, Khosla Ventures, Saga VC, and South Park Commons, bringing Profound's total funding to $58.5 million.
Profound's platform assists businesses in managing their visibility in AI-generated responses, a crucial aspect as AI search becomes increasingly prevalent. The company has quickly gained traction, with over 2,000 marketers from more than 500 organizations using the platform daily. Notable clients include Ramp, US Bank, Indeed, MongoDB, DocuSign, and Chime.
The new capital will be used to enhance Profound's agentic workflow features, expand content generation capabilities, and support international expansion. This move comes as AI assistants become a primary interface for consumer interactions, necessitating businesses to maintain a strong AI presence to remain competitive.
