EdgeMode and Vertical Data have announced a strategic collaboration to develop a 20 MW AI-optimized data center in Sweden, combining renewable energy and flexible financing solutions.

EdgeMode and Vertical Data have announced a strategic collaboration to develop a 20-megawatt data center in Sweden, optimized for artificial intelligence (AI) and high-performance computing (HPC) workloads. This initiative was announced in a press release and aims to combine renewable-powered AI infrastructure with flexible financing options.

The collaboration will leverage EdgeMode's Marviken Smart Energy Cluster, which features 95 MW of renewable power and advanced cooling technologies, alongside Vertical Data's expertise in AI-cluster design and GPU/server supply. Vertical Data will also provide financing solutions through its GPUFinancing.com platform, facilitating scalable and cost-effective compute capacity for global AI and HPC customers.

Both companies plan to co-develop marketing materials, host webinars, and participate in industry events to promote the project. The first customer-ready solutions are expected to be showcased at upcoming industry events. The Memorandum of Understanding between the two companies is non-binding, with the completion of the collaboration subject to further agreements and customary closing conditions.
