Syntracts Raises $5.3M to Expand On-Prem Legal AI Infrastructure
Legal AI company Syntracts has raised $5.3 million in seed funding led by Hyperplane, with participation from Khosla Ventures, Top Harvest Capital, Fortitude Ventures, and continued backing from Myriad Venture Partners and Point72 Ventures, announced in a press release.
The funding will support expansion of Syntracts’ API-first, on-premises contract intelligence platform, designed for BigLaw and corporate legal teams. The company’s system allows firms to ingest documents from tools like iManage, NetDocs, or SharePoint, organize them into structured, searchable data, and integrate results directly into existing AI and workflow systems while keeping all data within their own environment.
Syntracts’ models are trained using synthetic legal data generated from client documents, ensuring privacy and accuracy without relying on third-party APIs or cloud-hosted large language models. The platform has been adopted by AmLaw 25 firms and selected for A&O Shearman’s Fuse incubator.
According to the company, Syntracts’ technology can reduce contract review time by up to 80%, providing structured, verifiable outputs that integrate seamlessly with firms’ internal workflows while maintaining full data control on-premises.
