Spirit AI and Bosch China have formed a strategic alliance to develop and industrialize a 'Universal Brain' for robots, announced in a press release. The partnership combines Spirit AI's Vision Language Action models with Bosch's industrial ecosystem to bring embodied AI into real-world manufacturing and logistics environments.

The collaboration will establish a data pipeline connecting real-world scenarios with embodied AI systems across Bosch’s factories and logistics centers in China. It will also integrate Bosch’s sensors and actuators to support Spirit AI’s engineering validation and large-scale production.

Spirit AI’s Spirit v1.5 model will serve as a benchmark for performance in complex industrial tasks. The company said the partnership represents a step toward scaling its Universal Brain architecture beyond research settings into practical industrial deployment.

Founded in 2024, Spirit AI focuses on creating general-purpose embodied models for robots, aiming to enhance their physical precision and adaptability in real-world applications.
