Fixify Report Says AI Handles One Third of IT Actions at Adopters

Fixify says its analysis of nearly 18,000 agentic AI plans found that AI agents now handle one in three IT actions at organizations using AI automation.

Fixify said in a press release that its new report found AI agents handle one in three IT actions at organizations using its AI automation, all under analyst supervision. The report analyzed production data from more than 40 companies, including 17,929 agentic plans, 147,351 individual plan actions, and 52,689 skill executions from March through June 2026.

Agent involvement was highest in software, applications, security, and collaboration tasks. Analysts stayed more involved in identity lifecycle, onboarding, offboarding, and hardware work.

The report also found human oversight declined from 27 percent to 16 percent during the period. Fixify said 84 percent of system changes ran through the identity provider, and about three quarters of automation failures were tied to data problems rather than AI problems.

Fixify plans to host a live walkthrough of the report on August 27. The company says its platform covers more than 40 common IT requests and is aimed at automating Tier 1 IT work.
