BrainCo Unveils Brain to Robot AI Platform at WAIC 2026

July 18, 2026
At the 2026 World Artificial Intelligence Conference in Shanghai, BrainCo demonstrated a system that lets users control robots using only neural signals, debuting what it calls the world's first integrated Brain to Robot AI R&D platform.

At the 2026 World Artificial Intelligence Conference in Shanghai, BrainCo announced in a press release its integrated Brain to Robot AI platform, which enables humans to control robots using neural signals picked up by an EEG headset. During a live demonstration, a participant wearing the device was able to direct a robotic arm to grasp objects with thought alone, completing precision tasks such as picking up a cup or an apple.

The system operates by capturing brain signals, decoding the user’s intent with AI algorithms, and converting that intent into robotic commands within 200 milliseconds. BrainCo said the platform is compatible with many existing robots, including humanoid and multi-limbed systems, without requiring proprietary hardware.

The company also introduced an Embodied AI Data Collection Solution designed to address the shortage of real-world training data in robotics research. The solution includes a dual-arm data collection platform, a data glove that logs motion, and EEG sensors that record neural activity during task performance. This allows for training datasets that combine human demonstration, robot execution, and brain activity data.

Founded in 2015, BrainCo has focused on advancing brain-computer interface technology. The company said that integrating BCI, AI, and embodied robotics research could shape the next chapter of human-machine collaboration.
