Sentra raises $150 million for AI agent data security
Sentra raised $150 million in a strategic investment, the company said in a press release. Capital One Ventures led the investment, and a Capital One representative will join Sentra's board.
Sentra's platform finds and classifies sensitive data across cloud services, software applications, data warehouses and on premises systems. It maps the data that employees, service accounts and AI agents can access, detects unusual access and can revoke permissions or remove risky sharing.
The company will use the capital to expand its AI agent security features, field and channel programs, marketing and geographic presence. Sentra's existing investors include Bessemer Venture Partners, Zeev Ventures, Standard Investments, Munich Re Ventures and Key1 Capital. The company says it grew more than 300% over the past year.
