Sentante Secures CE Mark for Robotic Endovascular Platform
Sentante has received CE marking for its robotic platform designed for remote endovascular surgery, announced in a press release. The system collects detailed data from each procedure, including force, torque, motion, and fluoroscopy alignment, creating a dataset to support future AI assistance in vascular interventions.
The robot includes drive-side sensing and an interface that mirrors a clinician's hand movements in real time. Operators use standard catheters and guidewires, allowing the system to capture authentic procedural actions rather than joystick inputs. Each procedure contributes to a training-grade dataset that reflects expert technique.
Sentante’s platform integrates with existing catheter laboratory equipment and currently supports peripheral vascular procedures. It also has a development pathway for remote stroke thrombectomy. The hardware is built with NVIDIA components, and Sentante was among the first companies to use NVIDIA Isaac for Healthcare in its development program.
The company has conducted transatlantic remote thrombectomy experiments on perfused human cadaver models and a global animal study of 24 remote procedures. Its CE-marked system is now being deployed commercially across Europe, progressively adding AI assistance features as its dataset grows.
