NVIDIA Debuts RFD4-Proteina and Expands Radiotherapy Work
In a press release, NVIDIA and the UW Medicine Institute for Protein Design introduced RFD4-Proteina, an open model for programmable protein design and search. The BioNeMo model generates protein designs from molecular inputs, constraints and scoring objectives.
NVIDIA said testing across protein binding, small molecule binding, enzyme scaffolding and DNA binding benchmarks produced higher computational success rates and generation throughput than the evaluated baselines. RFD4-Proteina is available through services and platforms from Amazon Bio Discovery, Anthropic, Benchling, Databricks, Google Cloud, Hugging Face, Nebius, OpenAI and Tamarind Bio.
Siemens Healthineers is also working with NVIDIA on adaptive radiotherapy using agentic co planning, patient specific simulation and robotic control. The companies are exploring Nemotron models for treatment planning, CUDA accelerated dose calculations for simulation and Holoscan to connect live sensor data with AI systems.
