The Special Competitive Studies Project (SCSP) and Coursera have partnered to offer a free online course on artificial intelligence and national security for federal employees, announced in a press release. This initiative aims to enhance the AI proficiency of mid-career professionals working in national security roles.

The course, titled "AI in National Security: Integrating Artificial Intelligence into Public Sector Missions," consists of four modules. These modules cover the importance of AI in national security, best practices, deployment of AI tools for security priorities, and advocacy for AI adoption within the national security framework.

SCSP President Ylli Bajraktari emphasized the need for upskilling national security professionals to ensure successful AI adoption and maintain global competitiveness. Coursera's Chief Content Officer, Marni Baker Stein, highlighted the course's role in equipping public sector agencies with essential AI skills to stay at the forefront of AI innovation.
