scia Systems Unveils Advanced Semiconductor Failure Analysis Solutions
scia Systems has announced new capabilities in semiconductor device manufacturing and failure analysis, showcasing these innovations at SEMICON West 2025, announced in a press release. The company introduced enhancements to its scia Mill series of ion beam etching systems, optimized for whole-wafer delayering in failure analysis workflows.
The scia Mill series supports wafer substrates up to 300mm in diameter and complements existing failure analysis approaches by providing greater precision and faster results. This platform is particularly beneficial for advanced packaging and heterogeneous integration devices, such as chiplets and photonic ICs, where precise control down to sub-nanometer layers is crucial.
In addition to failure analysis innovations, scia Systems is also highlighting the growing adoption of its scia Mill 200 and scia Cluster 200 platforms. These systems are gaining traction in research and production environments worldwide, reflecting the industry's recognition of scia Systems' comprehensive, multi-process solutions.
