The Patrick J. McGovern Foundation awarded Fair Trade USA $600,000 to develop an AI tool that gives farmers climate, market and agricultural guidance.

Fair Trade USA received a $600,000 grant from the Patrick J. McGovern Foundation to build an AI climate and market intelligence tool for farmers, the nonprofit announced in a press release.

The platform will combine certification records, audit findings, Community Development Fund investments and open source climate data. It will also process documents, images, voice recordings and stories submitted by producers, then provide seasonal climate forecasts, market signals, agricultural guidance and recommended actions.

The grant runs from September 2026 through September 2027. Coffee, cocoa and banana producer leaders in Peru, Côte d'Ivoire and Colombia will help design the tool through workshops and follow up visits. Fair Trade USA plans to reach at least 10 cooperatives and 3,000 farmers by September 2027.

Tensordyne Napier: What If One Rack Could Do the Work of Nine?

Tensordyne

This Tensordyne whitepaper presents Napier, an inference-focused AI processor and rack-scale system based on the company’s TDN Math logarithmic number system. It examines infrastructure requirements for large mixture-of-experts and agentic models, compares major inference architecture approaches, and details the TDN AIP processor, TDN72 pod, TDN Link fabric, and Napier Ultra configuration. The paper reports simulation-based performance, cost, and accuracy-validation results, including Tensordyne’s projected comparison of one Napier rack with a nine-rack Nvidia Rubin plus Groq deployment; the chip is reported as taped out and in fabrication.
