Schneider Electric to Invest $700 Million in U.S. Energy and AI Sectors

Schneider Electric plans to invest over $700 million in the U.S. to support digitalization, automation, and manufacturing, creating over 1,000 jobs.

Schneider Electric has announced plans to invest over $700 million in its U.S. operations through 2027, as stated in a press release. This investment aims to support the growing demand for digitalization, automation, and manufacturing in the region, while also bolstering the nation's energy infrastructure to accommodate AI growth.

The investment marks Schneider Electric's largest single capital expenditure in its 135-year history in the U.S. and is expected to create over 1,000 new jobs. The company plans to expand its manufacturing capabilities and enhance its supply chain to meet the increasing demand for energy-efficient solutions and industrial automation.

Facility upgrades and expansions are planned across several U.S. locations, including new laboratories and innovation centers in Massachusetts, Texas, and North Carolina. These developments will focus on enhancing the production of power distribution products and introducing AI-driven automation solutions.

Schneider Electric's commitment to the U.S. market is further demonstrated by its introduction of the One Digital Grid Platform, an AI-enabled software platform designed to accelerate grid modernization. This initiative aligns with the company's strategy to maintain its leadership in energy management and automation.
