LandGate has released its Q2 2025 U.S. Data Center Development Summary, revealing significant growth in the sector, announced in a press release. The report highlights a 17.7% increase in installed capacity, driven by the rapid adoption of AI workloads.

Hyperscalers have contributed over $300 billion in capital expenditures during this period. The report also notes that total energy consumption by data centers reached 224 terawatt-hours (TWh). Landmark policy changes, such as the "Big Beautiful Bill," have spurred new developments in rural areas.

Regional highlights include major new projects in Ohio, Georgia, and Texas. Operators are increasingly adopting innovative energy solutions, such as mixed-source microgrids and private wire energy deals, to meet the growing demand.
