Armada Secures $131M for Modular AI Data Centers

Armada has announced a $131 million funding round to scale its Leviathan modular data centers, designed for rapid deployment and enhanced computing power.

Armada has announced a $131 million strategic funding round, coinciding with the launch of its Leviathan modular data centers, announced in a press release. The funding includes new investors such as Pinegrove, Veriten, and Glade Brook, alongside existing backers like Founders Fund and Lux Capital.

Leviathan, part of Armada's Galleon product line, is a megawatt-scale modular data center designed for fast and flexible deployment. It offers ten times the compute power of Armada's previous models and is adaptable to various energy sources, including stranded natural gas and solar. This allows for rapid deployment in remote and mission-critical environments, providing a significant infrastructure advantage.

The Leviathan units are powered by the Armada Edge Platform, delivering autonomous compute capabilities and real-world AI applications. They are designed to be scalable and relocatable, meeting evolving customer needs and enabling distributed AI training and inference. Armada plans to deploy these data centers in strategic U.S. locations, leveraging surplus power to enhance American energy and AI leadership.
