Mariana Minerals Raises $310 Million to Build Mines and Refineries Run With AI

Mariana Minerals raised $310 million in Series B funding led by Khosla Ventures to expand mines and refineries run with its MarianaOS AI and machine learning platform.

Mariana Minerals announced in a press release that it raised $310 million in Series B funding led by Khosla Ventures. The round included continued backing from Andreessen Horowitz (a16z) and Breakthrough Energy Ventures, along with new investors including Greenoaks, BHP Ventures, Mitsubishi Corporation, In-Q-Tel, and others.

The company said the round brings total parent and project capital raised to about $400 million. Mariana builds and operates mines and refineries using MarianaOS, an AI and machine learning platform that combines capital project execution, refinery operations, and mine management.

The funding will support Mariana's active project portfolio, including Copper One in southeastern Utah and Lithium One in East Texas. Copper One restarted mining operations within four months after Mariana acquired it in late 2025 and is ramping toward a target of 50,000 metric tons of refined copper per year.

Lithium One broke ground in the fourth quarter of 2025 and is designed to produce lithium from oil and gas produced water. Commercial production is targeted for the first half of 2027.
