Scania Launches China Venture Platform for Electric and Autonomous Transport

Scania has launched Venture & New Business China to develop and test business opportunities focused on energy transition and autonomous transport.

Scania has launched Venture & New Business China, a platform for developing and testing new business opportunities, the company said in a press release. The platform will initially focus on energy transition, autonomous transport, partnerships and new business models.

The initiative will work with customers and strategic partners on pilot projects. It will use Scania's commercial products, local research, procurement and production operations, with the Nantong and Rugao region serving as a location for testing.

Scania appointed Kelly Fu as regional lead for China Venture & New Business. Fu previously worked in investment banking, digital mobility and commercial vehicle technology, including roles at DiDi and G7.
