Salesforce to Acquire Qualified to Expand Agentic AI Marketing Capabilities
Salesforce has agreed to acquire Qualified, a San Francisco-based provider of agentic AI marketing technology. The transaction is expected to close in the first quarter of Salesforce’s fiscal year 2027, which begins in February. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The acquisition will integrate Qualified’s AI-powered engagement tools into Salesforce Inc.’s Agentforce platform. Qualified’s technology, including its AI agent Piper, enables real-time interaction with inbound website visitors through text, chat, or video, allowing human sellers to focus on closing deals while AI agents manage initial engagement and qualification.
Salesforce stated that adding Qualified’s capabilities will strengthen its ability to deliver autonomous pipeline generation and expand automation across sales and service teams. The integration aims to reduce repetitive tasks, such as handling early-stage customer interactions, routing inquiries, and scheduling meetings, by using CRM data to guide next steps.
Qualified was founded in 2018 by former Salesforce executives and has built its products to integrate natively with Salesforce. The company’s inclusion in the Agentforce ecosystem aligns with Salesforce’s broader strategy to develop agentic enterprise tools and extend AI-driven automation across customer engagement processes.
