Nuna Health Offers Eligible Medicare Beneficiaries Free AI Health Coaching

Nuna Health is offering its digital chronic care coach at no cost to eligible people with Original Medicare Parts A and B through the CMS ACCESS Model.

Nuna Health said in a press release its digital health coach is available at no cost to eligible people with Original Medicare Parts A and B in markets where the company operates. Enrollment depends on eligibility criteria from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services.

Nuna Health is participating in the CMS Innovation Center's ACCESS Model, a voluntary test that ties payments to health outcomes rather than individual services. Its app combines an AI conversational coach available around the clock with personalized care plans, education and game based features. It is available through Apple's App Store and Google Play.

The platform supports beneficiaries in the Model's Early Cardio-Kidney-Metabolic and Cardio-Kidney-Metabolic tracks, which cover conditions including high blood pressure, high cholesterol, prediabetes, type 2 diabetes, chronic kidney disease and atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease. Nuna is working with health systems, including Northwestern Medicine, to integrate ACCESS related support into existing care team workflows. CMS determines eligibility based on a beneficiary's conditions and other criteria.
