Helfie AI and Health Innovation South West to Test Smartphone Hypertension Screening
Helfie AI and Health Innovation South West will evaluate smartphone based hypertension screening in health care settings, the organizations said in a press release. The project will examine whether the technology can identify people at risk of high blood pressure and cardiovascular disease earlier.
The partners will also study how smartphone screening can fit into existing care pathways. The evaluation will focus on people who face barriers to traditional health services, including underserved populations.
Helfie AI partly funded the project, including work to assess the platform within cardiovascular disease prevention pathways. Health Innovation South West said the findings should not be treated as an endorsement, recommendation or procurement guidance for the platform.
