Neighborhood Healthcare Adopts Nabla's AI to Enhance Patient Care

Neighborhood Healthcare has integrated Nabla's ambient AI technology to improve clinician support and patient experience, following a successful pilot program.

Neighborhood Healthcare has integrated Nabla's ambient AI technology to enhance clinician support and improve patient experience, announced in a press release. This follows a successful four-month pilot program where clinicians reported improved note quality and reduced documentation burden.

The AI technology is now available to all 220 clinicians at Neighborhood Healthcare, a Federally Qualified Health Center serving nearly 100,000 patients annually across San Diego and Riverside counties. Nabla's AI assistant listens to patient visits with consent and automatically generates structured clinical notes, which integrate seamlessly with the organization's electronic health record system, eClinicalWorks.

During the pilot, 34,000 notes were generated, with 76% receiving high ratings from providers. Only 2% of the notes required editing, highlighting the accuracy of the AI-generated documentation. The technology also supports multilingual capabilities, including Spanish and Arabic, catering to the diverse patient population served by Neighborhood Healthcare.

Looking forward, Neighborhood Healthcare plans to explore further applications of Nabla's AI, such as supporting medical assistants with tasks like discharge summaries and lab orders, to enhance workflow efficiency and reduce burnout among staff.
