MoonPay Introduces AI Agent Secured by Ledger Signer

New York-based MoonPay has launched native Ledger signer support for its MoonPay Agents, announced in a press release. The integration makes MoonPay Agents the first command-line interface (CLI) wallet enabling users to verify and sign each transaction on a physical Ledger device, ensuring that private keys remain on the hardware.

The update allows AI agents to trade cryptocurrencies autonomously across major networks such as Ethereum, Solana, and Base, while users maintain control by approving each transaction through their Ledger signer. Supported devices include Ledger Nano S Plus, Nano X, Nano Gen5, Stax, and Flex. Users can connect their Ledger via USB to the MoonPay CLI, which automatically detects wallets across supported blockchains.

The integration also includes automatic Ledger app switching, enabling agents to move between multiple chains in a single workflow for swaps, bridges, and transfers without manual intervention. The feature is now live in MoonPay CLI version 0.12.3.
