MCE and TELUS Expand AI Partnership with New Venture
MCE Systems and TELUS have announced an expansion of their partnership to enhance customer experiences through generative AI, announced in a press release. This initiative follows a successful pilot in late 2024, where MCE's generative AI technology significantly improved user engagement and retail visit intent within the Mobile Klinik Device Checkup mobile app.
The pilot, which was deployed in just three months, utilized a customer's mobile device history and diagnostic tests combined with real-time conversational interaction from a virtual agent. This approach, built on Amazon's Bedrock and part of AWS's ISV Accelerate program, resulted in a fourfold increase in chatbot-guided user journey engagement and a threefold increase in user actioning of promotional offers.
With these promising results, TELUS plans to deploy the generative AI capabilities across additional customer journeys, aiming to further enhance customer service and business outcomes. The collaboration underscores the growing trend of telecommunications companies investing in AI to improve business practices and customer engagement.
