Lunit and Summit Test AI Pathology for Ivonescimab Research
Lunit and Summit Therapeutics announced a research agreement to evaluate Lunit SCOPE IO for tumor microenvironment analysis in Summit's ivonescimab programs. The companies will apply the AI pathology platform to hematoxylin and eosin stained whole slide images.
The research will examine whether the platform can identify quantitative and spatial features related to tumor cells, immune activity and surrounding tissue. The companies plan to explore its use in biomarker discovery, patient selection and analysis of treatment response.
Ivonescimab is an investigational bispecific antibody that targets PD-1 and VEGF. Lunit says its SCOPE products are for research use only. The companies did not report clinical outcome data with the agreement.
