BioVid launches synthetic physician research platform
BioVid launches Mimetics, a platform for creating synthetic physician audiences, the company said in a press release. Pharmaceutical teams can use the platform to test messages, concepts, positioning, market segments, decision drivers and barriers.
The respondent models draw on BioVid surveys of practicing physicians across multiple specialties and secondary data about clinical practice. They are designed to model how physicians assess evidence, weigh benefits against risks and make treatment decisions.
BioVid says parallel tests involving synthetic and human physician groups produced an 80% to 90% match across content, reasoning and emotional responses. Synthetic fieldwork can be completed within one to two weeks after BioVid receives the required inputs.
Mimetics is available as a standard service or with models customized using a client's research, segment profiles and customer relationship management data. The platform also includes an app that lets teams question modeled audience segments and share materials with them.
