Leidos and VML have introduced Imperium, an AI-powered platform built to enhance U.S. strategic information operations by improving planning, analysis, and mission agility.

Leidos and VML have launched Imperium, an artificial intelligence-powered platform designed to strengthen U.S. strategic information operations, announced in a press release.

Imperium combines AI and communications technology to support information dominance through advanced planning, implementation, and analysis tools. The platform can automatically identify emerging narratives, detect potential threats, and highlight opportunities for proactive response, all within established compliance and ethical frameworks.

The companies spent three years developing Imperium, integrating Leidos' Trusted Mission AI to enable faster and more transparent data analysis. Trusted Mission AI provides explainability features to ensure reliability in mission-critical intelligence applications.

Initial testing showed that Imperium can significantly reduce mission planning time, cutting some processes from days to hours. The platform is intended to increase the agility and speed of U.S. combatant commands in executing and assessing information operations.
